Their feedback is better than WD and Seagate right now. Seems like both of those two have been putting out so many damned DOA drives that i'm scared ****less to use em.

I think Seagate did the typical corporate model.

Provide something great, then keep cutting back until it craps out enough to hear people complaining, then go one step back....


A hard drive should go obsolete before it dies. You should never have to replace them because they are built to fail after 90% of the original purchasers are no longer using them!

i agree. i ordered 5 of the Samsung Spinpoint drives.

it's hard for us, we're actually manufacturing DVR boxes in my office now, and it's been interesting see the warranties and prices that WD and Seagate pitched to us on 320GB drives. they're really crappy to OEMs, but the pricing is relatively cheap when bought in the tens of thousands.
