Microsoft revamped live search, (which I hated) I guess people like the new one, it's called BING!
Any one here try it yet? Comments?

Initial reader comments (http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/05/28/bing-microsoft-prepares-for-war-with-a-revamped-search-engine-screenshots/) tended towards the negative on announcement day. Microsoft got heat for having nothing but a landing page up (and not even that for a while after the announcement). The “Bing stands for But It’s Not Google” comment appeared a number of times, as did sarcastic comments like “Looks like Live search again. Good to see Microsoft trying new things.” There were also a few variations of “MS is a bloated sinking ship…bing is nothing but a desperate attempt by an obsolete company.” You get the picture.
Today, though, they can actually try it. And the overwhelming number of user comments on our launch post Sunday evening (http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/05/31/go-bing-yourself-right-now/) are extremely positive. People like Bing. A few of them:
So long Google … I’m a Binger now

On a similar note, anyone try Chrome? And has anyone gotten a look at Android?

Acer to Launch Android-Powered Netbook; T-Mobile to Offer Second Android Device

Coming late this summer or early this fall is a new Acer netbook that will be powered by Android (http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/02/acer-launching-worlds-first-android-based-netbook-in-q3/), Google's mobile operating system. This will be the first official netbook with Android running on it. Of course, we've seen hacking of netbooks with Android in the past (http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/090102-091050), showing the obvious desire to see this provided for consumers. Looks like it's finally happnening.
If you're not familiar, netbooks are mini laptops, usually ranging from 7-12 inches. Many of them run on Windows XP or Linux. Netbooks are designed for people on the go. You may notice mobile carriers such as Verizon offering broadband internet deals for netbooks. I've seen deals where you pay $99 for the netbook with a 2-year contract at about $60 a month. It's very similar to purchasing a mobile phone.
Of course, Android's first venture was on the T-mobile/Google co-branded phone, the G1 (http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/081022-115718), which is manufactured by HTC. T-Mobile's second Android device is expected "early this summer" according to the blogosphere. Since it is essentially early summer, might the new phone be out any day now? Details are still vague (http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10254467-1.html?part=rss&tag=feed&subj=Crave), so stay tuned.

Interesting znet article about BING - guess if you do a video search, you can watch the whole thing as a thumbnail, with sound, and all of the advertising stripped out of it!!! :D Speaking of stripping.... this also works for porn. Ten! Better hurry up and check out BING before litigation begins!!! :p

Adult entertainment producers can be among the most strident objectors to search engines hurdling their paywalls and providing access to their otherwise for-pay content,
