My Domain Name register (WTF?)

If you remember I got problems with my domain name register because they made unauthorized transactions with my credit card number. They never refund my money and sent me an obscure e-mail confirmation which cannot be used to contest the transaction. Now they changed their name or transfered my domain name elsewhere to be safe with that. :mad:

Now my domain name is at Domain Registry of Canada. WTF is that?
Each year the price twice. Now they want $40 before december 27 and my domain expire 28 april 2011.

It is wrote on the web site that the price include web hosting.
I never authorized any transfer to any DNR. :mad:
I ordered a domain name transfer at godaddy this morning before i realise I already have web hosting. :mad:
So now I lose my web host I never used or something. This is dam crazy with no sens. They never sent me messages to inform me of all that.

What do you think? Is Domain Registry of Canada is a fake or something?

i think its real, but just one of those crappy places run by 2 guys in an apartment or something trying any way possible to get quick money.

get your domain out of there (if you can) and cancel your credit card so they cant keep on billing you. It's sometimes the only way to get them off your back.

Unless you have American Express, in which case those guys hunt down companies like those. Trust me, i know :)

Same thing with a cheap webhost i had. They kept on billing me even though I requested to cancel multiple times. It happened so much that AMEX dropped the hammer on them big time lol

Of course it is only one or 2 guys why they need more people?:D
This kinda sucks big time. I don't have any news from Godaddy and the address is parked at the same place today.
