The Taiwanese employer of a Chinese man who killed himself after being interrogated over a missing iPhone prototype has agreed to pay compensation to his family.

Wow! That's extreme! Suicide? Sounds more like interrogate went wrong.

Yeah, sounds like they did a little more than ask him a few questions... especially where they are willing to pay. I wonder if they can prove the kid jumped off the building and wasn't pushed? Life is pretty cheap over there too! They paid $56,000 dollars for the kid's life? I saw another article where they estimated it at $44,000 dollars for the family and an apple laptop for the kid's gf... :(
Maybe they found it in his place and he didn't want to live with the shame.
But the money does sound like they did something wrong.
