Google Confusing??

So I gotta ask, I use Google for a LOT of my online life, gmail, gmaps, greader, gdocs, gcal, etc..etc.. and the more I use it, the more I love it! But does anyone else find their UI for all this stuff confusing? I mean mediocre, light colors aside, I always come away from any extended session in Google- land saying to myself, 'I wish they'd hire a GUI designer'. I don't know why, I've been using Google since the beginning (and it has gotten better), I still find things confusing too often!

The fact that you cant arrange your GMail by sender simply by clicking on a column header?
