We are using microsoft online exchange at work. The owner uses a brand new at&t iphone, not sure what model. I can not convince him to switch phones. For some reason his contacts seem to duplicate on its own. The will duplicate on the phone first, and then evetually on outlook. We have tried deleting the account and re-adding. This will work for almost a week then it will first duplicate on the phone, and two or three days later duplicate on outlook.

He took the phone to an apple store and they told him the problem was exchange. I find this hard to believe because it doesn't do the same thing on any other phone here, androids, blackberries, and even another iphone.

I have researched it and haven't had any luck. I also had out outside IT people look at it and they didnt have any luck. Now i am being told to hire a fulltime IT person (we had one he sucked, i didnt think we needed him and let him go.) Any ideas?

We use Exchange and don't have this problem with any of a dozen and a half or more users. Don't know the problem, but if you go into the settings, then the mail accounts, you can turn off contacts for all accounts except Exchange to prevent interference from other accounts.

I have something similar on my Droid in that I have hundreds of contacts now that are being linked (or not) in creative ways.

Recommendations for a good proggie to see this on a big screen and sort it all out?
