Possibly a good one here for a shuttle and free intel CPU:

Just FYI.

So tempting. On the fence, nearly ready to pull the trigger on this one.

Went ahead an ordered with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231396

I have a ton of laptop HDD laying around, so shouldn't be tough to load up. Thanks for the heads-up.

NP.

I like a fully functioning mini. The one I have in there now is fine (and has a full size graphics card in it), but it does not fir well into the AV cabinet.

I would like to find a pared down laptop (no screen or KB) and hook that up as an HTPC....

I'm waiting for XBMC + Ouya to come out.

Should be interesting

OK....

Has anybody seen anyone that has taken an old laptop and stripped it down (KB/TP and Screen) and then refitted it into a vented thin box to be used as a media machine?

I have been looking, but nobody seems to want to do that.....
