For a second there I thought you were doing a VERTICAL tank there Wes! I would have warned you about pressure! You never realize how much water pushes until you do some design! (62.4 PSF for every foot of depth. To give you an idea, office DESIGN load is 40psf!)

Anyway, this looks like a huge MONEY sucker, nevermind time. I don't have a lot of EITHER these days, so maybe I will just get back to reading the stack of Pratchett books from the library and get back to practicing Guitar..... :P

Means that isn't what is actually on there, just what could/might be.

Most actual loading in an office averages out to 8 to 12 PSF....

a 6' deep tank would have a pressure (all faces at bottom) of 372psf. Still mushy compared to air pressure in tires and the like, but a heck of a lot of load over any flat surface.

Water is one of the biggest loads on a foundation, in some cases being more than the dirt!

The graphics are quite amazing. They are way better than any other MMO hands down. As you may have read already they use the Crytek engine.

I definitely don't have a lot of money so no way could I finance you guys "analog" hobbies. :D I don't have the time I've had in the past but as far as games go MMO's are really my cup of tea now a days. I mean there's no UT99 (vanilla) anymore so what's left? TF2?... nah.

I prefer a bit of spice in my UT99, but no so much as you can't see the meat it started with (low grav, etc...).

And TF2 is fun, so long as you have the right people. Whenever I play with a bunch of [S], =-fc-= or MyU's that know how to play, it has a bit more cohesion. A random public map is just too frustrating.

ah, ic! I've been going slow with this game. Finally got to level 10-12 last night and got to glide around while doing quests. Pretty cool.

Yep leveling to lvl 10 was not that great :D
Well it is a NC Soft standard mmo not a Guildwars team title.
The game feel like those free asian mmo but with more animations and deco.
It is a very easy to play mmo. A child can play this game no problem.
You have only 4 classes at the beginning and after lvl 10 you can choose between 2 subclasses. So 8 classes in fact.
I don't like the sounds in this game including the horrible interface sounds. :D
The music is not that great too.
All is dam easy to understand in this game maybe the game is too simple (too lite) and nobody is playing in a group.

I updated to the last patch today and the game is crashing during the splash screen now. So impossible to play.:mad:

The lvl 18-19 quests and on must have a group to finish. No way one can solo it.

lvl 1-10 is pretty much training area. Nothing to write home about. Once you get the wings in lvl 10, the game play is a little more dynamic since you can glide around the mobs in some area.

I just got to lvl 19 and 2 more active skills (since lvl 16). No new skills for 17-18. sucks. As a tank, game play is more dry. Sorcerer seems to be the most fun for now.

I've never tried pets, but when doing quests, I've seen people finish up a mob without even being hurt a bit. Seems useful. No idea on playability though.

By the way, just 2 hours before the server was shut down for the beta, a rift was opened between the bad guys and us. We were all gliding around hunting for them.

People keep posting their location on the chat. At one point, we found 20 or so of them while we had 10 or so. Since the location was posted a minute ago, we kinda get there first. We kinda looking at each other since both side looks like lo of people. Another 10 or so seconds later, we had like 50 more arrived and we rushed them! It was great! No lag as well.

lol. No time to play? Busy with the baby?

My daughter finally asked me to let her play and she created a character herself and started to try to navigate around. Since it's not FPS, it's much easier to pick up. Got kind of a story to boot. She played it about an hour or so and got to lvl 3. She seems to enjoy it so far.

I've only played one other MMO which is WAR and I think they looks pretty much the same as well. I think all MMO looks the same.

Time is one thing, but given the time I spent in Morrowind and Oblivion, I shudder to think of the time that could be spent in a land that was designed to keep you sitting there for months (so you keep paying).

The sad part is that few are designing those games for other than MMO now. You do not get many RPG's from Kings Quest to Diablo anymore. You get a quick gem with BioShock, but that was how many years ago now? 2? :(

The added curse is that by putting a $15/mo pricetag on it, my cheap-assness would HATE to "waste" that money. So I would be playing what I am paying. My wife would kill me.

Seriously.

Well, maybe not kill me, but you get the point.

As for the kid? That is tough. I do not want to ignore him, but I do not want to over indulge him (attension 24/7 while waking). I think he already senses the difference as he seems to be more needy when he can hear or see my wife than when he is just with me, but that is not night and day (yet).

But that is not this game, so I am going WAY OT to talk about myself, again, when the game itself looks interesting.

:( Sorry to hear that. It was great fun while the betas lasted. Now gotta wait until the 20th for Head Start and the REAL deal (Live/Retail)! :)

We had a few Spirit Masters in guild and I was told they are really fun and strong. They are about the only class that can truly solo the entire game (except bosses of course). That patch that crashed you also gave Spirit Masters and Sorcerors (my class) an upgrade which we honestly didn't need. :D

Those screens make it look pretty fun.... but I'm trying to hold out for Star Wars The Old Republic, or Star Trek Online. I'm a little tired of the over played out medieval theme.

I looked around all night for a rift so I would know what it looked like but I never found one. :( I was so close to 25 and getting to go to the Abyss which was something else I wanted to achieve before end of beta. Neither of which I was able to do because of all the random pvp which was keeping me entertained.

I stumbled upon my alliance from Warhammer Online so I've already committed to being in their legion. They are very very good players. We will also be playing the Elyos side but we haven't set in stone the server we will play on. We are meeting tonight to hash that out but it will be a East coaster server for sure.

You both have the Headstart? Cuz it opens back up when Headstart begins Sunday. Just be ready to get it asap. :D Although I think you know the massive crowd that will be trying to get in at the same time. :P

Hehe, I have a feeling that teh other classes will get something to help protect them for PvP.

Sorcerers turn into "medics" when playing a team that knows what they are doing.

The graphics (screenshot) look really nice, although they seem to like posting one particular arm-back-with-sword shot.. ;)

Makes it hard to say no, especially when I know you guys are on... Must think of the kid!!!! Think of the kid!!!! >whimper<

The best he could drool or "bibble-bibble-bibble" at you.

This may be something coming when he gets older, but I have a feeling my wife would kill me (it would interfere with her training him to be the next Federrer/Yo Yo Momma! ;) )
