Suxxors, I think my mobo is dead. Wont post at all, although the little green light on the mobo is on - nothing happens when I turn it on. When I got home yesterday, there was a BSOD. Switched around vidcards, removed the DVD drives, have only 1 HD connected; switched RAM around - still no posting. :(

Hell - it's been so long since I bought pieces. It's under guarantee of course, but will take a month if not more to get the piece.

So I have no choice but to go with a DDR2 board because I'm not going to replace all my RAM - so that's the reason for my choice.

This is the second ASUS board that dies on me, so I'm switching. Going to go with the EVGA, same as my vidcards.

Going with EVGA nforce 780i SLI Motherboard - A1 Version (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188043&Tpk=EVGA%20132-CK-NF78-A1).

Good price and should do till I move over to the new DDR3 generations.

It sux with Abit gone. Other boards I have used that work well enough--MSI and Soyo.

I checked MSI but in DDR2 and SLI I was coming up short.

New board in - all is wonderful. So far, good board, nice layout. Room for my ninja heatsink and the LED indication panel for the mobo error messages is quite fun.

As a properly functioning motherboard should not be displaying error messages, I fail to understand the logic of why this is "fun."
