A few days ago Infinity Ward announced that Modern Warfare 2 would not use dedicated servers. It will rely on a match making system that would setup games according to skill rank similar to Left for Dead or Xbox Live.
I'm not familiar with ether the Xbox Live or Left for Dead match making systems. But what concerns me most is that the players would be hosting the games. This has to create lots of lag. And I usually have a far slower connection than most.
This has led to a massive petition and protest.
So if you care about Modern Warfare 2 or even the future of PC gaming, help prevent the console-ation of future games.
