    Default Eval on 2016 Build

OK, a few points I would like feedback on.

    1. I can get the i5 6700k and get 4 cores with hyperthreading at 4ghz, but I can save $100 and get the 6600k and OC it to 4ghz. For gaming(which is the PCs main task), will 4 cores be enough, or should I get the 4 cores with the extra 4 virtual cores?
    2. Will an IPS monitor be ok for gaming? I only want 24" and last time I bought a monitor, TN was still better than IPS.
    3. Think the 1080 will drop in price in the next 4 weeks? Like enough to wait for?
    4. I can do a 1TB SSD, but have a 2TB storage drive already. Is it worth the extra $200ish to get the TB SSD now?

Found a 1080 from Zotac for less, pulled the trigger...

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! Edition, ZT-P10800C-10P

Have you looked at the price drops with ATI?

Key here is looking for maximum operability with what you have an possible future expandability.

I am still on a 4yo system and my 1TB SSHD is the slowdown for my MS rate at 5.9.... BS.

It all depends on what you are using it for. I would recommend at least 4 cores and 16G of memory. The newest cards are decent, but $200 should get you what you need for one screen. As for the screen, look at the REFRESH RATE. If you are gaming, that is key. Chromatics would be an issue if you wanted it for photo printing...

    Anyway... 2

Key here is limiting factor is an unrealistic rating of a 1TB SSHD.

After that, everything else is a decent ~8 on a 4yo system. So.. GL!
